At Enterprise Mobility, opportunity is more than a concept – it’s a journey we empower you to take. In this blog series, we’re spotlighting the journeys of inspiring women who have grown their careers from the ground up. Today, we’re catching up with Aurora, who began her journey as a Graduate Management Trainee and, through a series of well-earned promotions, now leads as a Group Rental Manager (GRM) in Spain, linking the branch locations with the wider business – a role that reflects her strong leadership, relentless drive, and passion for helping others grow.
Aurora was part of the first generation of Management Trainees in Spain. In just eight years, she moved 11 times, climbed the ranks from Management Trainee to Group Rental Manager, and made history as the first employee that started as a Management Trainee in Spain to progress to the GRM role. Her passion for people, languages, and business has fuelled a career defined by impact and innovation.
Aurora, what are some of the key skills you gained as a Graduate Management Trainee that set you up for future success?
“As a Graduate Management Trainee, I learnt lots of skills that really helped shape my career. I learned how to stay focused on performance and always aim to be competitive, which pushed me to keep improving. I also got a lot better at handling customer service situations, staying calm under pressure and finding the right solutions. And working closely with different teams taught me the value of collaboration and how to bring out the best in others. All of that gave me a solid base to build on moving forward.”
Were there any specific mentors or role models within the organisation who helped guide your career? What did you learn from them?
“I am lucky that I always had great mentors who helped me during any challenges I’ve faced. The Vice President of Rental in Spain has always been a big support since I was a Branch Manager, and always taught me the importance of having a good work and life balance.
Later, as an Area Manager, I was part of a leaders programme in Europe, and since then, I've continue to receive valuable mentorship from senior executives in our rental operations and our support services, as well as from a Group Rental Manager in France, who played a key role in helping me achieve my promotion to GRM.
One of the leaders I admire the most is the Vice President of Global Franchising, Isidro. Working with him taught me the art of winning both the hearts and minds of people, and how to adapt my approach to different leadership styles. He has been a great mentor to me.”
How does the organisation foster an inclusive and supportive work environment for women in leadership positions?
“It starts at the top with Chrissy Taylor, setting an amazing example as a leader and role model. The organisation really walks the talk when it comes to providing all team members the opportunity to succeed. I’ve personally felt that support through leadership programmes which have given me the chance to connect with General Managers and Vice Presidents across Europe. It was inspiring to hear the stories of successful women in leadership and also gain practical advice. We got training on things like interviewing, time management, and giving feedback. Being part of those programmes have definitely helped me grow and take the next step in my career.”
What advice would you give other women looking to make similar advancements in Enterprise Mobility?
“You didn’t come this far just to stop here, keep going! My biggest piece of advice is to stay resilient and never be afraid to ask for support. Find mentors who genuinely inspire you - especially other women who have navigated the path ahead of you. Surround yourself with smart, driven people who lift you up, and always pay it forward by supporting other women too. Own your journey, trust your instincts, and remember, you don’t have to feel 100% ready to take the next step - most of us never do, but we grow into it. The sky really is the limit, so go for it!”
What are some bits of advice you would give to someone starting as a Graduate Management Trainee?
“My biggest piece of advice is to always try to understand the why behind what you're doing, don’t be shy about asking questions if something isn’t clear. Stay focused on your performance and keep pushing yourself to grow, but also remember to enjoy the experience. It’s a great opportunity to learn, meet new people, and have fun along the way!”
Finally, if you could describe Enterprise Mobility in three words, what would they be and why?
