Dori’s Career Journey from Intern to Regional Manager

Quote from Group Rental Manager at Enterprise Mobility on Growth

At Enterprise Mobility, opportunity is more than a concept – it’s a journey we empower you to take. In this blog series, we’re spotlighting the journeys of inspiring women who have grown their careers from the ground up. Today, we’re introducing Dori, whose career began as an intern in Miami, Florida, and has since evolved into a regional leadership role that spans continents.

Inspired by our founding values and people-first culture, Dori quickly rose through the ranks in the U.S. before taking a bold leap across the Atlantic. From managing teams in Spain to now leading operations in Northern France, her story is one of resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to developing others. Dori’s journey reflects the power of embracing change and leading with purpose – wherever in the world that may take you.

Dori, what are some of the key skills you gained as Management Intern that set you up for future success?
“The internship programme placed me in diverse team environments where I had to quickly adapt my leadership style to different personalities and working styles. I learned how to set clear goals, provide constructive feedback, and create a culture of trust and accountability. These experiences helped me build confidence in my ability to inspire others, manage conflict, and drive performance – skills that have been essential in every role I've taken on since.”

Were there any specific mentors or role models within the organisation who helped guide your career? What did you learn from them?
“I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by roles models and mentors from the very start of my career. I have always made a conscious effort to always ask for advice and support – not just to grow professionally, but to make meaningful impact on the business and, in turn, my career. As I’ve progressed and taken on new roles within the organisation, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a diverse group of exceptional leaders. Their guidance has shaped my leadership style and strengthened the qualities that define me as a group rental manager today.”

How does the organisation foster an inclusive and supportive work environment for people in leadership positions?
“Enterprise Mobility supports all employees by creating an inclusive and supportive environment in lots of ways. One initiative that I love – and actively contribute to in France and Spain – is the ‘Leadership Programme’. It’s designed to help employees grow into the best leaders they can be, while also supporting them through the personal and professional challenges they may face. This programme has played a big role in my own development, and I know it will continue to shape my journey as a leader.”

What advice would you give other women looking to make similar advancements in Enterprise Mobility?
“Raise your hand for opportunities! Don’t be afraid of stepping outside your comfort zone – growth often happens in the uncomfortable. Surround yourself with great mentors and role models who challenge and support you, and never underestimate the power of building strong relationships across the business. Your voice matters, so use it.”

What are some bits of advice you would give to someone starting as a Graduate Management Trainee?
“Always be curious, ask lots of questions, and treat every day as another learning opportunity. Take initiative, show enthusiasm, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes – they’re often the best teachers. Build strong relationships early on, and take time to understand how the different parts of the business connect. The more you invest in your development, the more doors will open.”

Finally, if you could describe Enterprise Mobility in three words, what would they be and why?
“Empowering, people-focused, forward-thinking.”
